Need a head start? XC racing is more hardcore than most of us in Santa Cruz believed. Looking at the short and long distance courses, we have a feeling we'd have more fun on the Bronson, preferably with a single lap and a lift to the start.
However, there are those among us who devote their time to fighting for every fraction of a second to finally stand on the podium. For them, Blur exists.
We utilized all our knowledge of carbon and its properties to create the latest incarnation of this frame. Learning from our previous design, we managed to shave 289g (!) from the frame itself without compromising its strength . Considering the complete Superlight™ suspension bike weighs nearly 10.43kg ( without pedals), that's a pretty good deal. And you can go much lighter if you want!
If you prefer multi-stage bikes, don't worry! You'll find room for two water bottles and upgrades that will come in handy on the Cape Epic or Breck Epic trails. Plus, with your purchase, you join the Santa Cruz team with a lifetime frame warranty and award-winning Rider Support, which will help you solve even the most challenging situations! When ordering, remember whether you prefer the TR or XC setup—they differ in suspension travel and components!

XC or TR?
The TR versions have more travel (115mm rear, 120mm front), slightly beefier tires (Maxxis Rekon), a fully height-adjustable dropper post, no remote lockout, and larger brake discs. The TR version is designed for specific trails beyond classic XC.
